Site Characteristics
Huntable acres: 770
Habitat: Site follows a 2.3-mile stretch of the Sangamon River and is directly adjacent to Allerton Park. Upland and bottomland forests are comprised of silver maples, cottonwood, sycamore, and walnut trees. The relatively flat grasslands consist of grazed pastures and retired agricultural fields. The site comprises 2 parcels. Active habitat management will occur throughout the year on the site. These activities are necessary to improve and develop high-quality wildlife habitat.

A windshield card must be displayed on the vehicle dashboard. You must report your harvest and hunter trips via the system, even if you did not hunt, by February 15.
One portable tree stand and/or ground blind may be used per hunter, but must be removed daily.
