Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 778
  • Habitat: The area is characterized by river bottom cropland, forested bluffs and river bottoms. Wooded drainage ditches are also present on the site. This diversity adds to a habitat matrix which provides a variety of hunting opportunities.

  • Hunters may leave their stands unattended. Stands must be portable and legibly marked with hunter’s name, address and telephone number or their site assigned number.
  • All hunting is to be done with shotgun, handgun (deer only), .22/.17 caliber rimfire, air guns, muzzleloader or archery. No centerfire rifles allowed.

    • Coyote and striped skunk season coincides with the statewide fox season.

Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 730
  • Habitat:  The area is comprised of a mixture of wooded ravines with crop fields present on the ridges and in the creek bottoms. Many of the crop fields have been idled and established to perennial grasses. In others, natural succession of woody plants is occurring at various stages. The woodlands consist of a relatively young stand of oak-hickory timber with some interspersed brushy, fallow pasture areas.

Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 760
  • Habitat: The site is characterized by rolling upland brush, sloping grownup fields, and high bluffs along the north boundary. Cultivated fields are found along the west boundary and fallow, brushy fields are scattered throughout the area. Some mature oak-hickory timber is found along the north boundary.
