Site Characteristics

Habitat: The area is generally rolling, with some steep areas, particularly in the north section with high wooded hills and deep ravines. The area hunted north of Route 50 is mostly deciduous woodland; the area to the south is woodland with plots of annual grains, clover, and grassy cover interspersed by fencerows and evergreen plantings. The upland forested areas are mainly of the mature oak-hickory type. The lake is near the center, south of the park, with the campground toward the south. The park office is on the west boundary.
Active habitat management will occur throughout the year at this site.

The site requires the use of a windshield card displayed on the vehicle dashboard to report hunting effort and harvest by 15 February
Hunters may leave tree stands unattended from September 15 to January 31. Stands must be legibly marked with the owner’s name, address, and telephone number
A non-toxic shot is required for upland game hunting
Night hunting not permitted.
