Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 1,610
  • Habitat: Small crop fields, brushy draws and briar thickets and mature oak-hickory forest. Active habitat management will be occurring throughout the year on the site.

Site Specific Regulations

  • All statewide hunting regulations apply at site unless noted hereafter
  • Site requires use of windshield card (unless otherwise noted), and displayed on vehicle dashboard to report hunting effort and harvest by 15 February
  • Use Hunt Planner to find hunting seasons open at this site
  • Hunters must remove tree stands daily
  • All hunting is by shotgun or archery only

Dove

  • No windshield card needed.
    • A daily drawing will be held 1 1/2-1 hour before sunrise. A daily quota of 30 hunters will be drawn
    • September 1-5:
      • Hours are sunrise-11:30 a.m
      • Hunters allocated through daily on-site drawing
    • September 6-30:
      • Hours are statewide hunting hours
      • Hunters allocated through daily on-site drawing
    • Hunters are not allowed to leave without first checking out
    • All dove hunting must be from within 10 feet of staked location

Snipe

  • Statewide regulations until rabbit season begins then hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Furbearers

  • Trapping
    • Requires a site specific permit that will be issued via a public drawing held on the last Friday in October. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the drawing will be at 8 a.m.
