Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 120
  • Habitat: Open, gently rolling grassland. The site is divited into two, 160 ac parcels. Active grassland habitat management will be occurring on the site. These activities are designed to improve upland habitat.

Site Specific Regulations

  • All statewide hunting regulations apply at site unless noted hereafter.
  • Site requires a Free Upland Game permit issued via state lottery. Permit applications can be found here
  • Use Hunt Planner to find hunting seasons open at this site.
  • All upland hunting must be done with shotgun or bow and arrow (flu flu arrows only).
  • Species-specific rules:

Deer

  • Deer hunting not permitted.

Turkey

  • Turkey hunting not permitted.

Waterfowl

  • Waterfowl hunting not permitted.

Rabbits

  • Rabbits
    • Statewide regulations, but requires a free upland game permit obtained via statewide lottery and you can apply online.
    • Permits are issued for the first and second day of the statewide upland game season and on each subsequent Wednesday and Saturday in November and on each Thursday and Sunday in December through Dec 24.
    • Only 1 party consisting of the permit holder and no more than 3 companions will be allowed each day.

Upland Birds

  • Pheasant & Quail
    • Statewide regulations, but requires a free upland game permit obtained via statewide lottery and you can apply online.
    • Permits are issued for the first and second day of the statewide upland game season and on each subsequent Wednesday and Saturday in November and on each Thursday and Sunday in December through Dec 24.
    • Only 1 party consisting of the permit holder and no more than 3 companions will be allowed each day.

Furbearers

  • Furbearer hunting not permitted.
  • Trapping
    • Statewide regulations, except season begins at sunrise on December 26 – February 15.
    • Site specific permit obtained via lottery and windshield card are required
    • Applicants must submit their name to the site office before the Tuesday prior to the opening of the North Zone trapping season

    • Trapping permit must be in possession while trapping on the site.
    • Only Egg Traps®, D-P (Dog-Proof) Traps®, Lil Grizz Get’rz®, box traps, cage traps, and traps of similar design may be used for land set
