Huntable acres: 213
Habitat: Grasslands of native prairie and redtop grasses, a wooded riparian zone beside a creek, and ephemeral wetlands characterize this area.
Active habitat management will occur throughout the year on the site, including prescribed burning.

Statewide and associated species regulations apply at the site unless noted hereafter.
Site requires use of a windshield card, displayed on the vehicle dashboard, to report hunting effort and harvest by 15 February.
Hunters should avoid disturbance to the natural community due to the presence of endangered species; therefore, hunters must not use an off-road vehicle or enter a restricted area.
Hunters should be extremely careful not to injure or kill any non-targeted species.
Hunters should refrain from hunting within 100 yards of a dwelling.

Rabbits
Available at this site. Statewide regulations apply, except:
- A free upland game permit is required for rabbit hunting.
- One permit per Wednesday of the upland game hunting season may be issued.
- Requires a lottery-based Free Upland Game Permit that you can apply for online between Aug 1 and Aug 31. Harvest reporting materials will be mailed to successful permit holders via the Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS). You must report your harvest to INHS by February 15th to avoid the loss of hunting privileges for the following year.
- Each permit holder is allowed to bring 3 hunting partners.
- Permits that are issued for dates after the close of the bobwhite quail hunting season will be for rabbit hunting only.
- Rabbit hunters will be required to return their harvest cards before Feb.15th.
