Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 160
  • Habitat: mostly open habitat consisting of brome, alfalfa and clover and winter cover/switchgrass, with patches of shrubs, trees and cover plots and an old-field/homestead structure.

Site Specific Regulations

Deer

  • Deer hunting not permitted.

Turkey

  • Turkey hunting not permitted.

Waterfowl

  • Waterfowl hunting not permitted.

Squirrels/Rabbits

  • Squirrel hunting not permitted.
  • Rabbits
    • Requires an upland game permit obtained via the Upland Game Permit lottery.
    • Permits are issued for the first and second day of the statewide upland game season and on each subsequent Wednesday and Saturday in November and on each Thursday and Sunday in December, through December 24.
    • Hunting hours are until 4 pm and limits follow statewide regulations. 
    • Only 1 hunting party, consisting of the permit holder and no more than 3 companions, will be allowed each day.

Upland Birds

  • Pheasants and Quail
    • Requires an upland game permit obtained via the Upland Game Permit lottery.
