Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 120
  • Habitat: Cover is primarily warm season grass and low growing woody shrubs interspersed with American Plum and Blackjack Oak thickets. Topography is that of a 60 foot sand hill or dune with several blowouts. Soils are all sand and there are no open water areas on the site.

Site Specific Regulations

  • All statewide hunting regulations apply at site unless noted hereafter
  • Site requires use of windshield card displayed on vehicle dashboard to report hunting effort and harvest by 15 February
  • Use Hunt Planner to find hunting seasons open at this site
  • Hunters must remove tree stands daily
  • Prescribed fire may be conducted during archery deer hunting season

    • Hunting is by statewide permit
    • Only one tree stand or ground blind is allowed per deer hunter. Tree stands and ground blinds must be portable and must be removed at the end of each day.
