Site Characteristics

  • Huntable acres: 800
  • Habitat: This bottomland lies adjacent to the Mississippi River in what once was leveed farmland. It is now comprised of surface water.

Site Specific Regulations

  • Active habitat management will be occurring throughout the year on the site.
  • All statewide hunting regulations apply at site unless noted hereafter.
  • Site requires use of windshield card, displayed on vehicle dashboard, the pocket portion in your possession while hunting, and must report hunting effort and harvest by 15 February.
  • Use Hunt Planner to find hunting seasons open at this site.
  • Hunters under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 years or older).
  • Species-specific rules:


  • Archery hunting only.
  • It is unlawful to construct or use any tree stand that utilizes nails, screws, wire, or any device that pierces or cuts the bark of the tree on which it is installed. Any tree stand must be portable and must be removed from the tree at the end of the day’s hunt.

  • Waterfowl hunting parties must remain a minimum of 200 yards apart.
  • Waterfowl hunters are required to hunt over a minimum of 12 decoys.
  • Only non-toxic shot may be used. Only shotgun shells loaded with non-toxic shot may be in possession.
