Huntable acres:1,287
Habitat: Bottomland forest, early successional forest, limited open areas. Active habitat management will occur throughout the year on the site.
Attention – The invasive plant species, Japanese Chaff Flower (Achyranthes japonica), was identified at Cache River SNA. To prevent its spread, please try to avoid infested areas and clean your clothes and boots of any seed. To learn more about Japanese Chaff flower and how to identify it, please visit this link. You can report observations of the plant to the District Natural Heritage Biologist.

Statewide and associated species regulations apply at the site unless noted hereafter.
Site requires use of windshield card, displayed on vehicle dashboard, to report hunting effort and harvest by 15 February.
Hunters may leave stands unattended from September 15 – January 31. Stands must be legibly marked with owner’s name, address and telephone number.
Weapons must be unloaded when crossing the bike trail which runs through the hunting area.
Waterfowl hunting is only allowed on the Kerr Farm Units.
Only archery deer hunting is allowed in the Nature Preserve.
