- Habitat: This area provides high quality permanent habitat for ring-necked pheasants and hunting opportunities for Illinois sportsmen.






Site Specific Regulations
- Active habitat management will be occurring throughout the year on the site.
- All statewide hunting regulations apply at site unless noted hereafter.
- Site requires use of windshield card, displayed on vehicle dashboard, to report hunting effort and harvest by 15 February.
- All hunting must be with shotgun or bow and arrow.
- Species-specific rules:
Deer
- Due to this site being located in a CWD positive county, all successful deer hunters must provide a CWD sample within 48 hours of harvest.

- Archery
- Must register with name and date prior to hunting
- Registration will be at site parking lot
- No more than 2 hunters can hunt concurrently at Dublin Highlands HA.
- Season closes at the end of shooting hours on the day preceding the opening of the upland hunting season for the north zone and will reopen at legal shooting hours the day following the close of the north zone upland season at this site.
- Hunters should sign out and record harvest upon completion of the hunt.
- One non-piercing, portable tree stand is allowed per hunter. Tree stands must be removed at the end of the hunting day.

- Hunting by permit only. Must have a valid permit for the date on which they are hunting. Permit applications will be available at Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Park or on the IDNR web site in August, prior to the hunting season.
- Rabbit may be hunted during the statewide pheasant hunt area’s dates.
- Hunters must sign-in before hunting at the sign-in station on Heitter Road.
- Permit holders may bring three hunting partners to the area.
- Hunters must sign-out/report harvest numbers at the station on Heitter Road.
- Hunters must wear a cap and upper outer-garment of solid blaze orange, of at least 400 square inches.
Upland Birds
- Cock Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail, and Hungarian Partridge
- Hunters must have a valid permit for the date on which they are hunting. Permit applications will be available at Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Park or on the IDNR web site in August, prior to the hunting season.
- Upland game may be hunted on the first weekend in November and on Wednesdays and Saturdays in November, and then in December on Thursdays and Sundays. (Statewide PHA dates)
