Site Characteristics

  • Acres: 318
  • Habitat Description: mostly wooded with mature upland forest and bottomland forest in the lowlands. Big Grand Pierre Creek forms part of the property border and the site also connects with Shawnee National Forest. Active habitat management will be occurring throughout the year on the site.

  • Walk-in hunting only
  • A free windshield card is required for all hunters at this site
    • Harvest must be reported by Feb 15, failure to do so will result if loss of hunting privilege’s at this site for the following calendar year.
  • It is illegal to construct or use any tree stand or tree climbing equipment, using nails, screws or any device which pierces or cuts the bark of the tree on which it is installed or used.
    • Tree stands that are used for hunting deer must be legibly marked with the owner’s name, address, and telephone number when left unattended.
    • Tree stands may be left unattended from Sep 15 – Jan 31. Only 1 tree stand per hunter
