  • Habitat: primarily bottomland woods with a creek running from north to south through the property. Site is only accessible from Wayne County Road 050N and has very limited parking.

Deer

  • Archery
    • Statewide regulations
    • Only one tree stand or ground blind per hunter. Tree stands and ground blinds must be removed at the end of each day.
  • Firearm
    • Must possess a Wayne county permit
    • Only one tree stand or ground blind per hunter. Tree stands may be left unattended. Stands must be legibly labeled with hunter’s name, address and telephone number.
    • No hunter shall place a tree stand or ground blind prior to two weeks before the opening of the season and all hunters must remove their deer stands no later than two weeks after the final day of legal deer hunting.
  • Muzzleloader
    • Must possess a Wayne county permit
    • Only one tree stand or ground blind per hunter. Tree stands may be left unattended. Stands must be legibly labeled with hunter’s name, address and telephone number.
    • No hunter shall place a tree stand or ground blind prior to two weeks before the opening of the season and all hunters must remove their deer stands no later than two weeks after the final day of legal deer hunting.

Turkey

    • Rimfire rifles .22 caliber and smaller may be used from sunset to sunrise.
    • Furbearer hunting closed during Firearm Deer Season
      • Hunters with a valid, unfilled firearm deer permit for the hunt area may take coyotes during legal hours of the firearm deer season. Otherwise, the use of shotgun slugs to take furbearing mammals is prohibited on state sites.
    • Coyote and striped skunk season coincides with the statewide fox season.
